1 Driver Eligibility & Compliance
  • NSW LAW Hold a current unrestricted Australian driver licence, a Passenger Transport Licence Code (PTLC), and meet NSW point-to-point driver eligibility requirements.
  • NSW LAW Keep your licence and PTLC in date — stop driving immediately and report to the company if anything expires.
  • NSW LAW Have the legal right to work in Australia.
  • NSW LAW Follow NSW road rules and point-to-point transport requirements at all times.
  • COMPANY The company re-checks eligibility (including police and medical) on a regular basis.
Eligibility is set by NSW law; the company verifies it through its compliance checks.
2 Passenger Safety & Professional Conduct
  • NSW LAW Passengers must wear seatbelts where fitted. Remind passengers politely; if an adult passenger refuses to belt up, you may decline to carry them rather than drive with anyone unbelted.
  • NSW LAW Never drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and never drive while fatigued.
  • NSW LAW No smoking or vaping in the vehicle — prohibited by NSW smoke-free law and by company policy.
  • COMPANY Keep the vehicle clean and presentable; dress neatly and professionally.
  • COMPANY Be courteous and respectful to every passenger — no discrimination.
3 Bookings, Fares & TaxiMeter
  • NSW LAW Fares follow applicable NSW taxi fare rules. The TaxiMeter and company systems apply those rules automatically — never charge an amount on your own initiative.
  • SYSTEM Starting fare, waiting time and approved extras (e.g. airport, booking fee) are applied by the meter and the system.
  • SYSTEM Accept bookings on the Pad, arrive on time, and complete each trip through the system.
  • COMPANY Offer a receipt when the passenger asks.
4 Customer Service
  • COMPANY Greet passengers and confirm the destination before starting.
  • COMPANY Help with luggage and assist passengers with special needs where possible.
  • COMPANY Use the recommended route and provide a reasonable fare estimate when the passenger asks or when applicable.
  • COMPANY Lost property: follow the company process to report and return items.
  • COMPANY Complaints: stay calm, follow the process, and report through the correct channel.
5 NSW AI TAXI System Training
  • SYSTEM Log in on the Pad with your driver account; start and end your shift with SHIFT.
  • SYSTEM Bookings from the passenger app appear on the Pad with pickup and drop-off details.
  • SYSTEM Follow the trip order in the app: Accept → arrive → START TRIP → complete. START TRIP begins the meter.
  • SYSTEM PAYMENT / COMPLETE settles the fare at the end of the trip. Extras are added through the system — never as an off-meter charge.
  • SYSTEM Tolls: the system records tolls detected on the route. Never guess or invent a toll amount — if you are unsure, check the trip record or contact support.
  • SYSTEM Use the ALARM function if you need urgent help during a trip.
  • SYSTEM If the app, Bluetooth or network/API fails: restart the app, continue to drive safely and follow the approved fallback procedure. Do not guess fares, tolls or extras. Contact support when safe to do so, and keep the passenger informed.
6 Emergency & Incident Handling
  • NSW LAW Accident: make the scene safe, call 000 / police if needed, then notify the company.
  • NSW LAW Medical emergency: stop safely, help the passenger, call 000 when required.
  • COMPANY Conflict or harassment: stay calm, pull over safely, use ALARM or call for help if needed.
  • COMPANY Vehicle breakdown: pull over safely and contact company dispatch.
7 Company Rules
  • COMPANY Follow your shift schedule; stop driving when fatigued — the company supports you.
  • COMPANY Keep the vehicle clean; no smoking inside (also NSW law — see Module 2).
  • COMPANY Payment and settlement follow the system record — do not take off-record cash.
  • COMPANY Protect passenger information — never share it outside the company.
Company rules are NSW AI TAXI internal policies and may differ from government regulations. Where NSW law applies, the law takes precedence.
